Chocolate Milkshake - Vegan style!

I often hear people say that a plant-based diet is restrictive. But, it's completely the opposite, especially a whole food plant-based diet. Not only can you eat as much food as you want, you can enjoy your old favourite past time foods like chocolate milkshakes without the guilt! You can drink as much as you want of this vegan style chocolate milkshake as it's packed with nutrients while containing no refined sugar, saturated fat, flavourings/ syrups and cholesterol compared to its original dairy kinds. This vegan style milkshake is high in vitamin B6, iron, folate, vitamin K and vitamin C. 

I make this milkshake for Beth at least a few time a week. She absolutely loves it, and I know you will too!

Chocolate Milkshake - Vegan Style!


5 fresh ripe (spotted black) bananas - or you can use frozen, just omit the ice (I highly recommend using frozen bananas!)
1 tray of ice
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs (optional)
1-2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 or 1 vanilla bean scraped (optional)
1 teaspoon hemp hearts (optional)
1/4-1/2 cup fortified homemade almond milk/plant-milk or water



Put everything into your high-speed blender and blend on high until smooth!! Decorate with coconut flakes and cacao nibs.
